Should I buy a corner block?

Corner block has both pros and cons. They are generally less expensive when comparing to regular blocks however they do have setback requirements from secondary street where we will loose some land. Having two street frontage and access will have more flexibility and options for house layout with two facades, better winter sun, view and better air circulation if we are willing to spend some extra money on construction. Garage can be loaded at rear making front facade visually appealing. Corner block in right zone and size can be subdivided making it a gold for developers. Disadvantages may include less options with plans while choosing house design resulting poorly positioned house, additional street noise, security issues, less privacy, additional fence to install and maintain, additional lawn to mow.

Our view is that if we can ‘value add’ then corner blocks have great potential and use.
